ROOTED IN LOVE & INSPIRED BY FRIENDSHIP!

This festival is rooted in Love! Ibis (Godfrey Pitts), who Bob's mother always said was Bob's only friend in Wilmington, met Bob around 1968 and they became great friends for life. With his wife Genoveva (Genny) & their six children at the helm, they made realizing this Tribute to Bob Marley their mission. With the help of hundreds of dedicated volunteers throughout the years, they have produced a world-class event that has become one of the most anticipated events of the season in Wilmington drawing thousands from far and near! Our mission is to foster and promote cultural diversity through music, art, and educational programs that inspire Unity and One Love in our community as we were inspired to do by our beloved friend and brother, The Honorable Robert Nesta Marley, O.M.
It has been an honor to bring this event to our city. In our 27 year history, we have never canceled nor skipped this important event! We welcome you to join the Rastaman Vibration and help lift the spirit of One Love!
"We Jah People CAN make it work!" - B. Marley
